The Key to More
Hey Sis! Let’s talk about stewardship and what being a good steward can do for your life! Stewardship defined is “the job of supervising or taking care of something…”, so what does that have to do with you, you ask? E V E R Y T H I N G sis! It has absolutely everything to do with you and your growth! If I can be blunt for a second, how could we ever expect God to give us MORE, when we’re not taking care of what He’s already given us? Hmm? I know I’m not about to give $100 to someone who consistently squanders every penny they have on nonsense. Doesn’t makes sense to do so now does it? Well, I’ve learned that God operates in this same fashion. If you’re feeling stuck in your life, it’s not that God doesn’t care or doesn’t want to bless you, 9 times out of 10 He’s probably just waiting on you to take better care of the blessings He’s already given you. Now, believe me, I know how hard it can be to see all the blessings in your life when you are struggling. But that doesn’t mean you don’t possess them nor does it take away their value. Those children you have that drive you nuts, there’s someone out there who can’t even have children. That job you hate, girl you better be happy you even have a job! That little apartment you’re ready to get out of because you just know you deserve a house, the homeless man on the corner would gladly take it! You see what I mean? All those things you complain about and take for granted daily, there’s someone out there that would gladly trade places with you. I surely don’t mean to come off harsh, but sometimes we just have to keep it all the way real with one another! We ultimately want to see you WIN Queen, and in order to do that you have gots to become a better steward over what you already have.
I’ll be 100% transparent with you guys, I too have struggled with being a good steward over what I possess. And if I’m going to be completely honest, I’m STILL struggling! My biggest struggles are being a good steward of my time and finances. I’m usually ALWAYS late. I’d probably be late to my own dang funeral y’all! I also struggle with sticking to a budget. These are two things I’m most certainly not proud of, but in 2019, I’m determined to do better and I’ve actually already made some major improvements in being on time. It was a hard realization to accept, but the woman I’m becoming doesn’t have room to be late or manage her finances poorly. I’m trying to be booked and busy, and there’s no way I’m going to be either of those things if I can’t make it to a meeting on time.
So you see Queen, you are not alone. We are in this with you! We are all just trying to be better than we were yesterday. That’s ultimately all we really can do. So, what do you say? Let’s all work on taking care of what God has already given us so He can trust us with MORE!
